Plain Harness Slobber Straps

One-piece slobber straps in harness leather, cut thick.

Slobber straps connect rope reins to the bit and act as a hinge between the two. The weight is the working part: a heavier strap drops the moment the rein goes slack, so the release reaches the horse before the rider has finished the thought. A light strap hangs on the rein and blurs the same cue. These are cut thick for that reason. Sold in pairs, to be used with loop or mecate reins.
