10 Ft Loop Reins

A ten-foot closed rein in hand-spliced double-braid rope, weighted at the ends.

Most rope reins run eight feet. The extra two feet give the horse more slack to find, and a longer drop means the release arrives fully rather than partway. For a rider who does not want the lead tail of a mecate, this is the same rope and the same weight without it. The ends are weighted so the rein falls on its own when the hand opens.
